At the weekend, Maggi and I took a walk down through The Glen … and although I’ve done that walk a thousand times, and seen thirty years of golden autumns there, I never cease to be astonished at how bright and glowing the palette of colours on display can be.

The summer brightness of flowers and blossoms, and berries is a more extravagant, Technicolor experience of course, but the shiny russets, vibrant scarlets, and golden yellows of autumn are a gorgeous, more subtle contrast to the rich, cerulean blue sky  that shines like neon on a cold, sunny, autumn day in Scotland.

Sounds pretentious. … but … Looks Magnificent.
